Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Give A Feed respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
In this policy, “Give A Feed”, “we”, “us” and “our” means Imagination Group Pty Ltd (ABN 40 645 543 237), 235 Albany Highway, Victoria Park WA 6100, which runs the Give A Feed Christmas hamper appeal in partnership with Foodbank WA.
1. The information we collect
We only collect information we need. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Donations: your first and last name, email address, optional mobile number, the name you want on your certificate, the number of hampers and the amount donated.
- Gift A Hamper: as well as your details, the name and email address of the person you are giving in the name of, and the personal message you write for them.
- Forms: when you contact us, apply to be an Ambassador or request to become a partner, the details you enter, such as your name, email, phone, organisation, role and message.
- Updates: whether you have chosen to receive news from Give A Feed.
- Technical information: basic information your browser sends, such as IP address, device and browser type, collected by our hosting provider for security and to keep the site running.
We do not see, collect or store your card or bank details. Payments are entered on Stripe’s secure checkout page and processed directly by Stripe.
2. Information about other people
When you Gift A Hamper you give us another person’s name and email address. Please only do this if you reasonably believe they would be happy to receive a Give A Feed gift email from you. We use their details only to send that gift email and their certificate, and we do not add them to any mailing list.
3. How we use your information
- to process your donation and pass it to Foodbank WA, which issues your tax deductible receipt
- to send your thank-you email, gift confirmation and certificate of appreciation
- to send the gift email, message and certificate to the person you nominate
- to show the total number of hampers on our website (this shows totals only, never names)
- to respond to your enquiries, Ambassador applications and partnership requests
- if you opt in, to send you news and updates about Give A Feed, such as a Christmas thank-you
- to keep our records, meet our legal obligations and prevent fraud or misuse
We will never sell, rent or trade your personal information.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the organisations that help us run Give A Feed, and only as needed:
- Foodbank WA: our partner and the recipient of all donations, to process and receipt your donation
- Stripe: secure payment processing
- Resend: sending our emails
- Netlify: website hosting, forms and secure data storage
- Mailchimp: sending news and updates, only if you have opted in
Each provider handles information under its own privacy policy and security standards. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
5. Overseas storage
Some of our service providers, including Stripe, Resend, Netlify and Mailchimp, store or process information on servers outside Australia, mainly in the United States. We use reputable providers with strong security and privacy practices, and we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
6. Cookies and analytics
Our website does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Stripe uses cookies on its checkout page to process payments securely and prevent fraud. Videos are embedded using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set cookies until you play a video.
7. Keeping your information secure
Your information is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with providers that use industry-standard security. Access is limited to the people who need it to run the appeal. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by law.
8. How long we keep it
We keep donation records for as long as needed to receipt donations and meet our legal, tax and reporting obligations, generally up to seven years. Gift recipient details and form enquiries are kept only as long as needed for their purpose. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
9. Your choices and rights
- You can unsubscribe from updates at any time using the link in any email.
- You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it.
- You can ask us to delete your information, unless we need to keep it by law.
- You can deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym when making general enquiries, but we need your real name and email to process a donation and send your receipt.
