Since 2011 we’ve helped families in need feel the Christmas spirit, with festive food, a Christmas feed, and the comfort of knowing someone cares.

Just $50 fills a Give A Feed Christmas hamper with festive food for a family of four. Volunteers pack it, and Foodbank WA distributes it to the Western Australian families who need it most.

Since 2011 Give A Feed has partnered with Foodbank WA and Rotary WA to help families in need at Christmas so they can feel the Christmas spirit. Hampers reach women and children through women’s refuges and Child Protection, and 200 hampers go to First Nations communities each year.

Every $50 provides a Give A Feed Foodbank Christmas Hamper to a WA family in need, with enough to feed a family of four.

100% of proceeds are invested to make Give A Feed hampers. Foodbank WA bulk purchases products that are packed by volunteers into a Give A Feed hamper box.

Give A Feed hampers are distributed by Foodbank WA via their Charity Network to WA families in need, just in time for Christmas.

Each Give A Feed Foodbank Christmas Hamper contains enough to feed a family of four.

Some food may be substituted for alternatives on packing day to the same value.

Peter Rowsthorn
Actor and comedian
Peter Rowsthorn is a high energy, fast-paced stand-up comedian one minute and a measured character actor the next. A masterful MC of corporate and private functions, he has been performing his slick and blistering stand-up for three decades.
Peter has appeared regularly on “Thank God You’re Here” series 1, 2, 3 and 4, popped up on “Talkin’ ’Bout Your Generation” and has hosted the delightful “Can We Help” on the ABC. But Peter is probably still best known as long-suffering husband and pants-man Brett Craig on “Kath & Kim”.
Aaron Pitt
Co-founder, Give A Feed
Growing up in the country with 12 siblings, Aaron excelled at being the classroom clown, and it’s this love of performing that forms the foundation of his career today. To get noticed in such a large family, Aaron had to learn to be good at getting his Mum’s attention, and the best way to do that was to make his Mum laugh. Comedy was also a good way to camouflage his struggle with reading and writing. It took a long time for his teachers to work out that he was dyslexic, especially when he was making them laugh. Laughing was also the best way for his family to tackle the hard times.
“Throughout my life, I have seen and even been the benefactor of kindness. Give A Feed for me started as a way of saying thank you, giving back, and hopefully helping others experience the motivation that comes from receiving and giving kindness. Helping someone at a time of need smile is extremely contagious.”
Aaron is the Creative Director of Imagination Group, a multimedia production and creative marketing company, and the very proud father of a beautiful little princess.
Tony Galati
Founder, Spud Shed
Tony Galati is the founder of Spud Shed and one of Western Australia’s best-known champions of fresh, affordable food. From a family of WA growers, Tony built Spud Shed into a much-loved independent fresh food business, and earned the title of WA’s ‘Potato King’ for standing up for growers and shoppers alike.
Tony believes good food should be within reach of every West Australian family. As a Give A Feed Ambassador, he and the Spud Shed team help WA families in need feel the Christmas spirit.
Kate O’Hara
CEO, Foodbank WA
Kate O’Hara is the Chief Executive Officer of Foodbank WA, a role she commenced in August 2021 as the third CEO in the organisation’s history. Bringing a wealth of business and leadership experience, particularly in strategic marketing, digital strategy, communications and community development, Kate is guiding the organisation in its mission to end hunger in Western Australia by 2030.
She frequently speaks about the profound impact of the cost of living crisis, food affordability and poverty, especially child poverty, on Australian families. She has noted the significant increase in demand for food relief from people who are employed but struggling, and the specific challenges facing single-parent families.
Through her tireless advocacy and her roles as a Non-Executive Director on numerous business and not-for-profit boards, Kate has established herself as a leading voice and a powerful force for food security and lasting social change across the state.
Joanna Millard
Executive Director, John Hughes Group
Joanna Millard is an Executive Director of the John Hughes Group. She has a Bachelor of Law (Hons) and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney and was previously a solicitor in NSW.
Joanna also has a Master of Business Administration from the AGSM at UNSW, is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and sits on the boards of various organisations in WA, including the St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls Council and the Young Presidents Organisation (WA).
Damian Martin
Perth Wildcats and Australia
The five-time NBL Best Defensive Player is ranked amongst the best NBL defenders of all time. In 2014/15, Perth Wildcats captain Damian Martin led from the front as one of the team’s best performers, terrorising opponents with relentless defensive pressure and a league-leading 81 steals, on his way to being named the NBL’s Best Defensive Player for the fifth straight season.
Damian captained Australia’s under-20 team to a world championship in 2003, defeating the USA in the gold medal game. He attended Loyola Marymount University before making his NBL debut for the Sydney Spirit in 2008/09. The Perth Wildcats recruited him in 2009, where he became a Championship player in his first season, and he captained the team to the 2014 Championship.
Wayne Smith
Co-founder, Give A Feed
Wayne Smith was the Dealer Principal of City Toyota, which became one of the most successful Toyota dealerships in Australia. City Toyota received the highest accolades for sales, servicing and customer service, and Wayne was awarded the President’s Award, the highest individual accolade awarded by Toyota Australia.
Wayne wanted to find a way to be a good corporate citizen, give back to the community and help people in need. He started Help Feed 1000 in 2012. His idea was to raise enough money to donate 1,000 Foodbank Christmas hampers to 1,000 families, and it worked. It later became Give A Feed, as the target grew from helping 1,000 families to 2,500 families in need.
Wayne and his wife Joanne have two children who help pack the Give A Feed hampers each year. As a family, they are always willing to donate their time and resources to help brighten the lives of others in their community, especially those going through challenging times. Wayne believes in leading by example, a value that has contributed to the success of Give A Feed.
Daniele D’Ulisse
Partner, Imagination Group
Daniele D’Ulisse is a partner at Imagination Group and one of WA’s most experienced television editors. He was Senior Producer and Editor of Zoom TV, Real Estate TV and IwannaB.
As a Give A Feed Ambassador, Daniele edits all of Give A Feed’s promotions, turning packing days and partner stories into the videos that help WA families in need at Christmas.
A proud dad, Daniele also creates content celebrating the connection between parents and kids through The Intentional Father Project.
Todd Duffridge
Give A Feed Ambassador
Todd Duffridge is a Give A Feed Ambassador who helped bring Motivate Ultra’s Charity Spin to life in 2025. The event rolled through six of Perth’s CBD towers and raised $50,000, shared between Give A Feed, The Steve Waugh Foundation and Starfish Nippers.
Todd promoted the ride, encouraged people to take part and rode alongside Give A Feed supporters on the day, helping deliver Christmas hampers to WA families in need.
John Kirchner
Give A Feed Ambassador
John Kirchner is a Give A Feed Ambassador who played a key role in Motivate Ultra’s 2025 Charity Spin, which raised $50,000 across six Perth CBD towers for Give A Feed, The Steve Waugh Foundation and Starfish Nippers.
John helped promote the event and encourage participation, showing how community leaders can turn a day on the bike into Christmas for WA families in need.
John Gelavis
CEO, Structerre Consulting
John has 30 years of experience within the building industry and has held numerous sales, marketing, management, operational and strategic leadership roles. John has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Australia and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
John also sits on several boards, including the Prostate Cancer State Advisory Board, and is an ambassador for Reflections through Reality, a not-for-profit reducing the impact of asbestos on the community.
Goran Babac
Owner, Yes Loans
Goran Babac started at Yes Loans as a trainee and worked his way up to sales manager and then general manager, before buying the business where his career began. Today he leads Yes Loans, the Perth finance broker on the Albany Highway strip in Victoria Park, helping West Australians with car, personal, business and equipment finance.
As a Give A Feed Ambassador, Goran and the Yes Loans team are helping spread the word, so more West Australian families in need can feel the Christmas spirit this year.
Samantha Mills
Customer Experience and Retail Marketing Manager WA, Charter Hall
Samantha (Sam) Mills is Customer Experience and Retail Marketing Manager for Charter Hall in WA. Through Charter Hall’s five year Major Partnership with Give A Feed, Sam has brought the appeal to Raine Square each Christmas, with displays, donation collection points and the Charter Hall team behind it.
As a Give A Feed Ambassador, Sam helps spread the word so more West Australian families in need can feel the Christmas spirit.
Alanya Selman
Workplace Experience Manager Perth, Charter Hall
Alanya Selman is Workplace Experience Manager for Charter Hall in Perth. Each year Alanya brings the Charter Hall team together for a packing day with Foodbank WA, where they pack Give A Feed hampers for WA families in need.
As a Give A Feed Ambassador, Alanya shows that giving is contagious, one packed hamper and one team at a time.
Dr Phil McGeorge
Founder, Perth Laser Vision
Dr Phillip McGeorge established Perth Laser Vision in 1997, within the Murdoch Medical Clinic building at St John of God Hospital Murdoch. With more than 30,000 laser procedures performed, Phil is one of Australia’s most experienced laser eye surgeons, and he and his team offer the full range of refractive surgery options at clinics in Murdoch and Subiaco.
As a Give A Feed Ambassador, Phil and the Perth Laser Vision team are helping spread the word, so more West Australian families in need can feel the Christmas spirit and know that someone is thinking of them.
Johnson Kitto
Partner, Kitto and Kitto
Johnson has been helping sort out difficult legal problems for West Australians since 1989. He is a straight talker and can tell you upfront what your legal outcomes are likely to be. The best part is he usually works on a fixed upfront price basis.
He has represented clients in every West Australian court and in the Commonwealth family and federal courts. Johnson provides a weekly legal advice talkback segment on ABC radio and is a sought-after speaker for community and not-for-profit groups. He is also a farmer, pilot and assessor for the Recreational Skippers Ticket. He loves the bush and has many clients who are farmers, station owners and fellow pilots.
David Skirving
Pastor, Subi Church
David Skirving is the pastor at Subi Church, where he has the great privilege of telling people the good news that God loves them and has demonstrated this by sending his Son Jesus Christ for us. David is married to beautiful Mya and is father to Saasha, Sophie and Justin. In his spare time, David works as a doctor and enjoys hanging out with his family and their French Bulldog, Leo.
Subi Church is active in caring for those in our community in a whole number of different ways, and there are so many people in need. This is why David and his family wanted to get behind Give A Feed, because it is an expression of love and care to a vulnerable group of people who are so in need of it.

Victoria Pearson

Victoria Pearson is an accomplished professional with a diverse career spanning financial and corporate roles. With a strong foundation in finance and property, Victoria has held key positions at leading institutions such as Citigroup, RBS, Bankwest, Deutsche P and N Bank, and National Australia Bank.
She serves as a Senior Asset Manager at Charter Hall, where she leverages her extensive experience to oversee and optimise asset portfolios. Victoria is also a dedicated Non-Executive Director at Women’s Health and Family Services, demonstrating her commitment to community and social impact.

Binny Liu

Binny discovered Bikram Yoga in 2010 as a lifeline, a path to healing from chronic pain and fatigue. Diagnosed with Compartment Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, she struggled with constant discomfort and a diminished quality of life.
Inspired by the transformative power of this practice, she completed her teacher training in 2011. This experience ignited a passion to share the benefits of Bikram Yoga with others, and Binny has had the privilege of teaching in Dallas, Miami, LA, Houston and Mexico.
Today, she continues to embrace the physical and mental benefits of this practice. Binny is a loving mother, a dedicated leader in her family, and a compassionate soul who loves to give back and help others. She is grateful for the opportunity to guide others on their own journey to wellness.

Brandon Willington is the founder of Where U?, a two-day, in-person workshop that teaches Australian business owners how to build reliable lead flow using Meta and Google Ads. Rather than locking clients into agency retainers, Brandon’s approach puts the skills back in the owner’s hands, so they understand where their leads come from, what drives results and how to grow on their own terms.

Matt Pound

Matt Pound is a Perth hospitality entrepreneur and a founding partner of Varsity, the American college-style bar and diner brand he helped grow from its first venue into one of WA’s most loved food and beverage groups. Known for using social media early and building a loyal following, Matt helped take Varsity to ten venues across Perth before the group was acquired in 2022.
Today Matt is a Director at beagl, an independent Perth buyers agency, and a Director at Bright Tsar Studios, a content creation studio in Myaree supporting local brands. Russell Karlson
WA State Manager, Shaw and Partners
Russell Karlson is the WA State Manager of Shaw and Partners and Chair of the Shaw and Partners Foundation, the firm’s charitable arm. Based in Perth, he leads the firm’s Western Australian team and champions the Foundation’s work supporting local communities.
In 2025, Russell and the Shaw and Partners Foundation came on board to support Give A Feed, helping deliver Christmas hampers to WA families in need.
Daniel Berich
Investment Adviser, Shaw and Partners
Born and bred in Kalgoorlie, Daniel moved to Perth for his final high school years, after which he attended Curtin Business School, completing his bachelor’s degree in Applied Finance and Commercial Law.
He spent the next 10 years living in London and Sydney in various banking and finance roles, namely at CommSec and CBA. On returning to Perth, Daniel joined long-standing WA stockbroking firm DJ Carmichael, which was bought by Shaw and Partners in 2019. Since then he has continued to help his clients with their investment needs, from stockbroking to wealth management and corporate finance.
Outside of work Daniel loves the beach, keeping active and anything sports related.
